[skinni buddha] has been working in education and developing social and community projects since 1992. I began teaching in Hong Kong whilst collaborating with various international artists for a series of music events. Experience in community and development work started with Palestinians and Nubians in the Middle East and has since taken me to Nicaragua . I have set up projects within a variety of settings both privately and state funded, rural and urban. This experience has given me valuable insight in dealing with a wide range of cultural groups.
I have worked on various education projects for several years, with a high success rate in student achievement, social, community and environmental development . On reflection and evaluation of past projects I realised that I could bring a holistic based, skills focused education direction to a variety of situations. I decided to use my skills to set up [skinni buddha]. In choosing to work on and develop a project, I not only focus of the project goals, but also on individual, social and community development, while respecting the environment.
My involvement in music, video and drama projects has meant I have been able to nurture the creative side of project development. My recent decision to train as a yoga teacher was due to my personal transformation as a result of my own yoga practice and I now use some of these yoga techniques to facilitate the inner potential in each person I work with. Most of my projects arise as a collaboration of those who have a similar vision.
